Performing in a Sports DomeSteven Ragatz - 1st January, 1990. I would also like to send out a general warning to ball spinners to always check your ball air pressure in the environment you are performing in if possible. Not outside the arena or even up on the snack concourse. You never know what's going to cause the air pressure to change. That one is a great tip! I have performed in the Hoosier Dome, now called the RCA Dome, and the visual of the dome made juggling very difficult. The calibration for all of my high throws were seriously off! Even the highest pitch appeared to be too low, so I kept wanting to overthrow everything. I found it to be much more difficult than juggling against the sky or a room with a comparably lower ceiling. Also, one has to resist the temptation to watch oneself on the big screen TV while you are performing! "Oh look! There I am on TV! Oh look! I just dropped!" - Steve view in thread mode or date mode post a new message |
